Ready for next week?

BACK TO BASICS CYCLE - Week 1

We are starting a new cycle with the theme: Back to Basics. We will focus on movement first, followed by adding intensity. No-one moves perfect and no-one probably ever will, but we will focus on having you all move close to perfect.

Hopefully you all have read our “Raise the Bar” post (this link). This post is not meant to tell you off for coming late or for not squatting deep enough. Our Raise the Bar focus is to help all CHALKBOX members to become the best version of themselves. With a new coaching team in place its now more then every our goal to achieve this

What will this mean for you?

  • going back to basics means we go through every detail of the points of performance

  • we will help you with a scale if you lack mobility

  • we will invite you for a separate session by yourself or with some others to work on your mobility if needed

  • . we will invite you for a separate session to focus on form if needed

The program:

  • Mondays - Box Squat

  • Tuesdays - a For Quality Workout

  • Wednesdays - Push Jerk

  • Thursdays - Cleans

  • Fridays - a Gymnastics Skill

  • Saturdays - Deadlift

  • Sunday - Partner WOD

Coming week Barbell Club will be on Wednesday evening and we won’t have a class in the weekend this week

WORKOUT OF THE DAY:

  • MONDAY -[BUILD & GRIND] Back Squat followed by Box jump, DU's and KBS

  • TUESDAY [SWEAT & SPRINT] A workout for quality

  • WEDNESDAY [BUILD & GRIND] Push Jerk followed by more presses and BURPEES

  • THURSDAY - [BUILD & GRIND] A Cleans followed by "Dead by Calories"

  • FRIDAY - [SWEAT & GRIND] Handstand Practise followed by HSPU, Snatches and Mountain Climbers

  • SATURDAY - [BUILD & GRIND] Deadlifts followed by Devils Press and Thrusters

  • SUNDAY - [SWEAT & SPRINT] A team workout with the Barbell
