Train For Health - How We Support You

We are excited to see you SOON at the gym!

While we love seeing you all active in our HomeFit sessions, we can’t wait to see you back at the gym! We have taken the last 3 months as an opportunity to shape CHALKBOX to be the best place to support you to TRAIN FOR HEALTH.

Below are our plans and actions, please take note it is important.

Live Streaming Sessions

Throughout the summer we will keep selected HomeFit sessions to support those who need it. In addition Yoga For Sports will be a permanent Live Streaming session on the schedule!

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN WE RE-OPEN?

OPEN AIR GYM

  • an additional concrete platform of 15m x 4m outside creating a total matted area of 100m2 (!)

  • an additional rig with 10 pull up bars, 4 squat racks outside and 2 muscle up bars

  • we keep the existing rig with 4 rope climb stations and 2 pull up stations

THE BOX

  • blue and green box outlined in 9 platforms, allowing for 2m distance & plenty of workout space

  • each platform will have their own cleaning materials

  • each platform will have their own Bike, Rower or Ski Erg (yes !!)

  • each platform will have access to pull up bar, rings, box etc

  • 7 platforms will have squat racks

SOCIAL DISTANCING & COVID GUIDELINES

MOVING AROUND

  • clearly posted signs directing flow in & outside gym

HYGIENE & CLEANING

  • hygiene protocols for members & staff

  • frequent cleaning of high touch areas during class hours

  • daily cleaning of equipment & gym

STAFF & MEMBERS HEALTH GUIDELINES

  • anyone with flu symptoms or anyone in house hold with symptoms cannot use the gym for 7 - 14 days

NEXT STEPS

  • test week in the week of June 22nd with a group of members to test layout and guide lines

  • reopen the gym on Saturday July 4th (pending Government approval)

  • we aim to have all sessions on our new enlarged outside area (pending the weather)

  • smaller class sizes to start with

  • HomeFit sessions will stay on the schedule till at least September

  • updated waivers have to be signed before joining sessions incorporating new guidelines

  • a comment box for members with questions or concerns

WHAT ELSE?

  • Members must return all equipment between June 22nd - 28th, wait for our email to confirm

  • Members can use outside open-gym sessions between June 22nd - 28th. Max 5 people at the time and you need to book your place in advance
