Cindy is one of the 'girls WODs' of CrossFit.

Why do some of the workouts in CrossFit have girls names?

According to CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman he named the benchmark workouts after girls (in similar way that storms are named after girls) by the National Weather Service. He felt that because these workouts are so physically demanding that they leave you feeling as though a storm hit you

Day 2 of the 12 days of CrossFit at Chalkbox

We will be doing Cindy today. In Cindy you have to complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of: 5 Pull-ups. 10 Push-ups. 15 Squats. 

My experience with Cindy

A workout like Cindy is right up my sleeve. Its all gymnastics which is what I like. When I look at  this workout my first idea is that the push up will become a struggle for me. 5 pull ups are the right amount to keep doing unbroken without too many difficulties and squats are easy :). 10 push ups after the pull ups will be hard. But guess what, during the WOD it were my legs that struggled most! Those squats proved to be harder than the push ups and pull-ups. My advise is, go hard and fast but as its 20min also make sure you move at a pace you can maintain for 20min.
