When your glutes and hip flexors are tight and fatigued they can cause you to have a sore lower back and hamstrings, poor balance, and even shooting nerve pain down your leg due to sciatica. (Sciatica is a common type of pain affecting the sciatic nerve, a large nerve extending from the lower back down the back of each leg)

There's a simple way how you can alleviate the pain. Myofascial release is a manual pressure technique used to eliminate pain and restore mobility to restricted dysfunctional muscle tissues. This technique is essential for any workout plan because it is directly relates to posture, and injury prevention. Lower back pain is often referred from another affected area that is the real culprit for the discomfort. They key is locating the trigger point (myofascial release). In this case the trigger point is located on the gluteus medius. Have fun finding that trigger point, you will definitely feel it when you hit it!
