TEENS Strength Training is back!

We are starting weekly strength sessions for teens again

As a parent, if you're questioning whether weight training for your teen is healthy and safe, the answer is simple: Yes, as long as your teen gets appropriate coaching. This entails being instructed proper technique, having adequate supervision, warming up and stretching beforehand, using the right equipment and starting slowly, all to prevent injuries.

What Are the Benefits of Strength Training?

Besides building stronger muscles, strength training can:

  • improve overall fitness

  • increase lean body mass (more muscle, less fat)

  • burn more calories

  • make bones stronger

  • improve mental health

At CHALKBOX we are introducing Strength Training for Teens on Thursdays 5:30pm.

Teens will be using kettlebells, Dumbbells and Barbells. We are focusing on strength and will also introduce Olympic lifts.

Coach Laura is leading this session who has lots of experience in Olympic lifting. Read more about Laura here.

Great for any child 11 years + at any level. Our Coach Laura will make sure the teens will use appropriate weights and guide them through the movements.
