In honor of Mother’s Day we asked some of our very own #StrongMoms to share their thoughts on motherhood, lessons they would like to pass on, and what habits or components of their lifestyle they are proud to share with their kids.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A MOM? 

The cuddles and seeing them overcome their challenges in life and the smiles when they achieve or conquer them

WHAT LESSONS DO YOU HOPE TO PASS TO YOUR CHILDREN?

Be kind, don’t lie, and appreciate everything and everyone that comes your way as once it’s gone you generally can’t go back

Oh and put your bloody stuff away when you’ve finished playing with it!!!!

WHAT ARE SOME HEALTHY HABITS OR COMPONENTS OF YOUR LIFESTYLE THAT YOU ARE PROUD TO SHARE WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

Exercise and time for yourself is what gets you through parenthood. Learning to eat well and train to keep your body and brain healthy is key, It’s tough being a good role model to them 24/7 because the little darlings can push you to your very limits!! Frustrations and stress are less when you can take it out on something- be it a barbell, a tennis ball, or a punchbag!! 😂

Also looking after ourselves means we will be around to see them deal with parenting their children and go through what we are dealing with now 😂😂

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A MOM? 

Favourite thing about being a mum - is the all-consuming love for another human being, sharing the cuddles, kisses, and bedtime stories ❤️

WHAT LESSONS DO YOU HOPE TO PASS TO YOUR CHILDREN?

Lessons to pass on: always be kind, try your best, and don’t give up when things get tough, I’ll always be here and I’ll always love you.

WHAT ARE SOME HEALTHY HABITS OR COMPONENTS OF YOUR LIFESTYLE THAT YOU ARE PROUD TO SHARE WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

Fitness - even when you don’t feel like doing exercise do it! You’ll feel so much better when you’ve achieved it! I also want them to know that there are fun ways to work out and a community to support them

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A MOM? 

My favourite thing about being a Mummy is the joy my children bring me even on days when I'm not feeling great, seeing them smile and hearing them laugh makes everything worthwhile!

WHAT LESSONS DO YOU HOPE TO PASS TO YOUR CHILDREN?

Lessons I hope to pass on to my children, be brave and try new things. You can achieve anything if you work for it.

WHAT ARE SOME HEALTHY HABITS OR COMPONENTS OF YOUR LIFESTYLE THAT YOU ARE PROUD TO SHARE WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

I'm proud to share my love of CrossFit with my children and love it when they come to the box and see what I do. I hope that they see how much fun it is and want to get involved when they are old enough.

That I’m finally a mum after many years of IVF. I didn’t think I’d get here at one point.

To take any opportunity you are offered. Even if it feels out of your comfort zone

WHAT ARE SOME HEALTHY HABITS OR COMPONENTS OF YOUR LIFESTYLE THAT YOU ARE PROUD TO SHARE WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

To be active, exercise regularly, enjoy it, and even though we might be sore at times it’s worth it. They all want to get involved in fitness in their own way and in sports they love
