CrossFit is simple, elegant and effective

In CrossFit we follow an evidence based approach to fitness, the programming works and you get fitter and healhtier or it doesn’t. Very simple. Your coaches are doing the workouts too and as we experience what works well and what doesn’t so are you on your fitness journey. We are monitoring SugarWOD data and receiving feed back from the coaches. This implies that our box program is constantly evolving.

Coach Sarah: Plans are easy to make but hard to stick to by!

Everyone has a goal in mind that they are working towards. In order to reach it, a lot of people will plan ahead for it. Still though a lot of people will fail and simply not reach what they are trying to achieve. The separating factor between those successful and those not, is simply called consistency. Are you still hanging?

Hanging can be divided into:

1. Passive Hanging - relaxed, deactivated, targets more of the passive structural integrity components than the more 'muscular heavy' hangs. It is where more often than not we will start with a beginner. (certain issues with shoulder health and integrity might require we start with active hangs for example)

2. Active Hanging - selective activation of the pattern, engaging musculature and minimizing the demands on passive structural integrity while maximizing the active-component demand and adaptation. Active hangs are a type of strength work. More specifically - Straight Arm Scapular Strength.
